Nanjing, China – August 11, 2026. A group of ten technical delegates from the Republic of the Congo completed a 10day intensive on-site training program at NR Electric’s International Training Center in Nanjing. Hosted by Weshine Electric, this hands-on program is tailored for local power-grid technicians, aiming to strengthen practical capabilities in power-system testing, equipment commissioning and daily preventive maintenance work.
The training session combined theoretical lectures, case-based discussions and real-device operational drills. During classroom sessions, local engineers followed technical presentations covering high-voltage test instruments, insulation diagnostic procedures, substation equipment troubleshooting and standard field test workflows. Trainers walked through real-world project scenarios frequently encountered in Republic of the Congo power utilities, helping participants connect textbook knowledge to on-site work challenges.
Participants spent plenty of time on practical exercises. Every attendee got opportunities to get familiar with test equipment operation, parameter configuration, anomaly judgement and safety operation specifications. Face-to-face Q&A removed many technical doubts they met in their daily utility jobs back home.
Upon completion of the full curriculum, all ten delegates from the Republic of the Congo received official completion certificates at the training center. Both visiting guests and Weshine project team valued this knowledge-sharing opportunity. The Congolese team shared that the systematic training would directly support their local substation operation, fault diagnosis and routine preventive testing tasks after returning to the Republic of the Congo.
This in-person training also deepened long-term technical cooperation between Weshine Electric and power-industry partners in the Republic of the Congo.
