Weshine® invented AC Hipot Test Set for AC hipot test is used to conduct insulation strength test under specified voltage for various electrical products, electrical components, insulating materials, etc., to assess the insulation level of the product, to find the insulation defects of the ETU(equipment under test), and to measure the ability of overvoltage.

Weshine® AC Hipot Test Set for AC hipot test consist of two separate units: the control unit and the high-voltage unit. This separation enables the operator to use the test set on-site without any complications.

Weshine® AC Hipot Test Set for AC hipot test can be equipped with a rectifier attachment for DC voltage testing.

Weshine® AC Hipot Test Set for AC hipot test has three types. Dry-type AC Hipot Test Set for AC hipot test are power-frequency withstand voltage devices using epoxy resin as insulating material. Compared with oil-immersed AC Hipot Test Set, the working principle and functions are exactly the same. The difference lies in the different production processes, that is, the insulating materials they use are different. Dry-type AC Hipot Test Set are lighter than oil-immersed AC Hipot Test Set and heavier than gas-filled AC Hipot Test Set, so they are optional preventive test equipment in between.
