8. Confirm that the tested product is grounded safely and the test product is not charged.
9. Check that the E (ground) end of the instrument is grounded.
10. After pressing the high-voltage switch button, the E and L ends of the instrument will have high-voltage output, please pay attention to safety!

After the test, please turn off the high voltage and working power in time.

Use method of digital high voltage insulation resistance tester

1. The test

The E end of the instrument is connected to the ground end (or one end) of the test item, and the L end is connected to the line end (or the other end) of the test item. Set the selector switch to the required rated voltage position, and the first display of "1" indicates that the working power supply is connected. Press the high-voltage switch button, the high-voltage indicator light will light up, and the value displayed on the display screen is the insulation resistance value of the tested product. When the insulation resistance value of the test product exceeds the upper limit of the instrument range, the first display is "1", and the last three are off.
Note: DURING THE MEASUREMENT, DUE TO THE ABSORPTION AND POLARIZATION PROCESS OF THE SAMPLE, THE INSULATION VALUE READING gradually DRIFts TO a large value OR JUMPS UP AND down, which is a NORMAL phenomenon.

2. Use of G end (protection ring)

When measuring the high insulation resistance value, a conductor protection ring should be put on the surface between the two measuring ends of the test product, and the conductor protection ring should be connected to the G end of the instrument with a test line, so as to eliminate the measurement error caused by the leakage current on the surface of the test product and ensure the accuracy of the test.

3. To turn it off

After reading, press the high voltage switch to turn off the high voltage, and the high voltage indicator light goes out; Then turn the knob to OFF to turn off the power. For the capacitive sample, the remaining charge on the sample should be put out, and then the test line should be removed to avoid wounding by electric shock.
